Interdependent

Do you ever stop and think? 

When you’re washing your hands

The water that flows through

Is made up of the matter

That exists inside of everything

From you and I to the beachy sands?

And when you walk around

Outside as part of nature

Does it ever occur to you

That sometimes the stillness

Of our surroundings

Can be the one and only cure

How can it be? 

That every-thing on Earth be connected?

The answer to which is not

Something that we may 

Ever be subjected

Just the idea of wonder

The fact that you are reading 

This right now

Is enough evidence 

To show you that 

We need not know how
